Shannon Carringer grew up in Southeast Tennessee. She received her bachelors degree at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. After practicing in the medical field for many years, she received her masters degree at Southern Adventist University where she graduated with honors as a member of Sigma Theta Tau. In 2018, Shannon relocated to North Carolina to begin her career in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Mark Dubinski is a native of New Jersey. He is a graduate of Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his degree from Rutgers Medical School and did his Internship and Residency at UMDNJ-New Brunswick, New Jersey in Internal Medicine. He completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at the School of Medicine and Dentistry University of Rochester, New York, The Genesee Hospital under the direction of William Y. Chey, MD in 1992. He relocated to Henderson, North Carolina to begin his career in Gastroenterology with his wife Lisa of twenty-five years. He has three grown children. During his career, Dr. Dubinski has served as Chief of Medical Staff, Chairmanship at Maria Parham Medical Center and numerous committees. He is currently board certified in Gastroenterology.
Diane Varnadore, NP-C grew up in Warren County, North Carolina. She worked at Maria Parham Medical Center for fifteen years with Dr. Mark Dubinski in the Gastroenterology lab as a registered nurse. She earned her BSN in 2002 at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her Masters of Nursing in 2004 at Duke University. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner with Carolina GI Associates, PC since 2004. Diane’s clinical interests include treating liver diseases such as hepatitis, fatty liver, and cirrhosis. She is a member of The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. Diane is also the director of the weight loss program affiliated with Carolina GI Associates PC, where she has a passion for weight loss counseling, exercise planning, and life coaching. She is an active medical staff member of Maria Parham Medical Center and Granville Health System. She lives in Warrenton, North Carolina on a small farm with her two children and a host of horses, chickens, dogs, and cats.
